My Past: Part 1 of 2- A Life Worth Living

I never really talk about my past, I pretty much try to avoid it. I don't want to fall back into that state of pain again, to feel the heartbreak all over, and even now while I'm writing this I can't think of anything else.

This is probably one of the only times I will ever talk about her. I do think of her often, whenever I look at our daughter, but mostly about the good times, but whenever I do my mind can't help but wander off and think about the bad times too.
I will start my story where is all began- I was 21 and in College. It was spring break and my friends dragged me to Sunlit Tides to have a great time before we'd be sucked back into the piles of school work the following week.

I was always a ladies man, I had several girlfriends but none of them lasted more than 3 months. I was considered popular in high school, being on the football team, debate team and having straight A's. I was every girl's fantasy and every parent's dream. But, I never liked all the attention and having everyone know everything about me, that is probably why I went to an out of state college, where no one knew who I was- a fresh start. I didn't even tell anyone where I was going for fear that they might transfer. I didn't want to see anyone I knew in high school at my college.
I would have never guessed that the day I met Isabella Adams my life would change. She was 20 at the time and a native in Sunlit Tides. She had a degree in cosmetology and worked at the beauty salon downtown.

We hit it off right away and spent all our time together while I was on spring break, but when I had to leave we were both upset. I promised I would back soon and I was.
I went back to school and came back during the summer. We kept in touch through the phone and online. The last year in college was the longest year ever. I dreamed of the day of graduation so I could see Isabella again.

We started referring to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend a month after I first left her and when I graduated, I moved to Sunlit Tides. She was the longest relationship I ever had and I had never been happier in my life. I loved her.
After 2 years of going out we decided to tie the knot. It was a private wedding above the lake at one of Isabella's favorite places in town.

She was the love of my life and when we got married I never thought life could get any more perfect, until...
....Until Isabella told me she was pregnant. A baby was what we both wanted and when Isabella became pregnant both of us were overjoyed. We both wanted a large family and we wanted to have that large family together.
When Izzy was born, life was perfect and we were happy.

But the happiness wouldn't last long....

    1. Thank you, I wanted to try something different then Dawn's challenge. Make it more realistic but still maybe have some supernaturals in his challenge in the future.
Actually I hadn't realized that his name is close to the Jack Daniels whiskey until after I named him. I thought it was funny so I purposely name a friend of his after a beer. ;)
      Lol!
